The Bowls Club was founded in 1956 as the Ormond Park Bowls Club but was later change to Moonee Valley to reflect the City of Moonee Valley in which the club resides. It is a community venture; with members, sponsors, and local government support who have contributed to the development and maintenance of the club greens and facilities.
We share the clubrooms with the Moonee Valley Bridge Club with whom we cooperate to manage the building and integrate each Club’s activities.
The Club is affiliated with the Moonee Valley Sporting Club, which in addition to Bowls and Bridge incorporates the Moonee Valley Cricket and Moonee Valley Football Clubs.
Clubs are autonomous, conducting their own affairs and the Sporting Club, under the direction of a committee representative of the four clubs, acts on matters of common interest and encourages cooperation and interaction. As for bowls all Sporting Clubs members take their name from the City of Moonee Valley within which Ormond Park is located.
